14/4/11
Today was our science day.We did loads of amazing experiments for the Junior and Senior Infants and for our parents. We had some help from Eimear and Mary(two of the teachers in our school).
Most of us did different experiments like volcanoes, floating eggs, paper gliders, squishy eggs,non-gravity water, exploding coca-cola,telephones,floating and sinking oranges and hurricane in a bottle.
We all had great fun demonstrating our experiments to all who attended.
You should try some of these experiments at home too!

My Trip to the Aviva Stadium
I reached school at seven o' clock and got on the bus.On the way we stopped in Apple Green for a bit of fresh air .When we got to the Aviva we were introduced to our tour guide Sam.There was another school with us. We were shown around to lots of rooms but my favourite one was the dressing room.I was amazed with how much was in the dressing room. After that we were shown the pitch and we were going to go onto it but they were spraying fertilizer on it.Then we went into a huge room where the winners were announced for Show Racism The Red Card. We won an olympus camera and a plaque. We also won a signed football by Shamrock Rovers.IT WAS GREAT COLM
Aviva
Yesterday we went on a bus trip to Dublin to the Aviva staduim. First we had a tour of the staduim and during the tour we went to the top floor of the staduim.Following the tour,we had some entertainment . Then came the announcements. I couldn't beleive my ears when the presenter called "KILCOLGAN EDUCATE TOGETHER"! We all went up for our photograph to be taken. Following the presentation, there was a raffle, where we also won a prize. We won a signed football. On the way home we stopped at Apple Green to have our lunch. I got loads of pictures on my phone of the Aviva staduim. After our lunch we went back on the bus and drove home. I had a brilliant day at the Aviva staduim!

My trip to the Aviva Stadium
One day I went to Dublin on the school bus with my class and Joe our bus driver. On the way we stopped at a place called Apple Green, a cafe and restaurant and playground. The teacher let us play in the playground for twenty minutes and after that we were on our way again. By now I would say you are asking why we were going to the Aviva Stadium and here is the answer: our school entered a competition called SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD and we were invited to the Aviva stadium in Dublin. When we got there we all ran inside. Then we got a tour of the stadium with our guide Sam. He showed us around the different places like the practice court and the pools. We saw the pitch but we were not allowed to go on it but we were allowed to go to the top stand. It was so high. Then the tour was over and we took the massive lift down (IT CAN HOLD 56 PEOPLE!!!). When we got there, there was a comedian/magician who was entertaining a crowd of pupils. After a while it was time to announce the winners. We were very lucky that we got a prize. We won a digital camera, plaque and a certificate. After that there was a raffle and we won a football that was signed by the Shamrock Rovers team. Then we got on the bus and went home. The bus was late and so we came home at quarter to six.By Rasmus
My Trip to The Aviva Stadium
I woke up at six in the morning and went to school to go to the prize giving of Show Racism The Red Card. Once I got to school the whole class got on the bus.The journey was quite boring and very long. We arrived after about three and a quarter hours!!!!. Once we were inside we met our tour guide, who showed us around the Aviva. We saw a film about the Aviva stadium , the media room and got to go to the stands. The view of the stadium from the stands is spectacular. After that we saw some magic and some people asked questions. Then we saw some of the school's videos and songs. Then there was the awards the part where everyone is all ears. We were the second runner up. I was amazed. The raffle came after, everyone was hoping to win something. Then it happened, we won a football signed by Shamrock Rovers. It was phenomenal.
My Trip To The Aviva Stadium on 12 / 4 / 11
On the day we went to the Aviva Stadium, I had to wake up really early and my dad brought me to school. Then I went up to the classroom and waited there until the bus came. Then we went downstairs with our bags and coats and got on the bus to the Aviva Stadium. On the bus, I sat beside Isabella and we shared sweets, made each other games and took lots of photos of patterns, for a project we're making. We stopped off at Apple Green for a break, then got back on the bus until we reached the stadium. After an amazing tour of the stadium, we went to a large room where some questions were answered and the winners were announced. We were a runner-up and we won a plaque and a camera!!! After that was the raffle, in which we won a signed football, and then we went home on the bus.
