Using a Planets Resources
by Sean BikkesGetting set up
When we first arrive on an extra terristrial planet e.g Mars,
we need to set up by importing items from Earth.
On Mars, plenty of things will be needed;
food, water, shelter, energy and air.
After a while,we will have to produce these things from the
planet's own resources.

Self-sufficiancy
There are so many things on Mars we could harvest and use;
we could collect ice, melt it and filter it to make
drinkable water.
We could also use this water to generate power,
water plants and quench the thirst of livestock.
Plants and animals obviously won't be able
to survive outside, so we could make large
plastic domes to keep the air in and keep the cold out!

Aviva Stadium
Yesterday we went to the Aviva Stadium. We took the bus to Dublin at seven o'clock and arrived at half ten.
First we had a tour of the Aviva Stadium. Our tour guide showed us around the rooms and we watched a mini clip of the demolition and reconstruction of the stadium. Then we explored the stands, the dressing rooms and the press area.I took lots of pictures. After we had finished our tour,the organisers from Show Racism The Red Card announced the results of the projects. We were runners up. We received a plaque and a blue digital camera. Also we won a raffle prize and accepted a ball signed by Shamrock Rovers. I had a brilliant day at the Aviva Stadium and I hope I can go back soon!

My Trip to the Aviva Stadium.
Yesterday we went to the Aviva Stadium. We had to wake up at 6:20 because the bus was leaving at 7:00. It was a pretty boring two and a half / three hour trip, but we managed to keep ourselves occupied. When we got there we got a tour of the stadium. Then we went into a room which had some entertainment. It was a magician.He was really funny.Then we listened to some speeches and had a Question and Answer session. Following that we had a raffle and we won a football signed by the Shamrock Rovers team. We won runner-up prize! We got a plaque and a digital camera. I had a great day. We stopped at Apple green on the way back home to have lunch.
Our Science Day
14/4/11
Today was our science day.We did loads of amazing experiments for the Junior and Senior Infants and for our parents.We had some help from Eimear and Mary(two of the teachers in our school).
Most of us did different experiments like volcanoes,floating eggs,paper gliders,squishy eggs,non-gravity water,exploding coca-cola,telephones,floating and sinking oranges and hurricane in a bottle.
We all had great fun demonstrating our experiments to all who attended.
You should try some of these experiments at home too!
