I went to Australia last Summer. We went to Sydney and we stayed with my Dad's cousin and his wife. We saw Sydney Opera House one day. Did you know that the man who designed the Opera House was inspired by a piece of orange? He was peeling the orange and he looked at the bits he'd already peeled off and they were all jagged, just like the roof of Sydney Opera House.
Then we went to Cairns (pron. Cans). We stayed in a campervan and one day we had a huntsman spider in our kitchen. My Dad screamed. It was weather perfect and the scenery was lovely. There were lots of mountains and forests. We had a great time and did a lot of swimming! We also visited the Great Barrier Reef and went snorkeling. We saw crocodiles, sharks, giant turtles and lots of beautiful fish. We weren't allowed to touch the coral or bring anything home from the beach.
